Cycle along the Route Verte, criss-crossing the North Shore and experiencing breathtaking views. You will discover new districts, shops, lakes, mountains, the Boreal forest, and even the shores of the river. All you have to do is choose your destination. Let’s ride!
Cycling Paths
There is a 40-kilometre network of cycling paths between the forest and the sea. Are your calves aching? Stop and cool down in one of the many parks along the trail!
Both sectors of the city are connected so you can cycle safely in a wooded area bordering Pierre-Ouellet Boulevard, away from road traffic.
The Parc des Pionniers offers a paved cycling path that leads to the marina, where you can see some whales. If you’re lucky, you’ll see whales blow water out of their blowholes.

Véloroute des baleines
The Véloroute des baleines corporation offers several circuits and important information for cycling enthusiasts. A bicycle and luggage transportation service is newly available.
The Vélo-Vallée fundraising activity is also organized annually. Cyclists must cover up to 134 kilometres in a single day to raise funds for the La Vallée des Roseaux palliative care home.

Didn’t bring your bike with you? Mon Vélo boutique offers bike rentals with a wide variety of models. They also offer a repair service for the small accidents that happen along the way.

Vélo Santé Trek
Each year, 80 cyclists cycle 300 km to raise funds for the Fondation de la santé et des services sociaux de Manicouagan. We encourage them at the start and applaud their devotion to the cause when they arrive at the finish at Parc des Pionniers every summer.
