A charming and not-to-be-missed place for entertainment and get-togethers 

This commercial corridor of old Baie-Comeau has a quaint ambiance. Visit the shops, souvenir stores, art galleries, restaurants, and bars. 

Place LaSalle stretches from the Colonel McCormick statue  to the fountain in the Place de la Biosphère. Basking in the sunshine on summer mornings, it is the perfect place to start the day, with a hearty breakfast and a homemade roast coffee. You could also start reading the book you just purchased at the local bookstore.

Some years, this place is also the start or finish of the para-cycling World Cup. Baie-Comeau residents love to attend and cheer on athletes, honouring their courage along the circuit.

Music & Terrace

On Sundays in summer, people stop by to listen to local musicians, who take advantage of the beautiful weather to jam near the fountain and improvise festive tunes. You are welcome to join them and play a few notes on the public piano. 

In the evening, the Place de la Biosphère fountain illuminates and lights up eyes of the young and old alike. It is the perfect place for a romantic stroll after dinner.
